Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
Older 'non-recommended' nvidia driver does not cause screen distortion , which looks like a trembling net, but does not allow 3d games like foobillard.
This has only occurred after update to 10-10

Problem is fixed by running "System/ preferences/ appearance/ visual effects" then 'none'---then 'normal' and 'keep settings' then close
Re-setting requirements in compiz settings manager gives correct display
This work-around is only useful on a per-session basis.-- A computer restart re-introduces the "bug"
