Bug Description

Binary package hint: gphoto2

Neither in lucid nor in maverick my canon sx120 IS is properly mounted.

The camera is detected by usb system (other lines outputted by lsusb not reported):

$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 016: ID 04a9:31e0 Canon, Inc.

although apparently it isn't known with its model name.

But gphoto sees the camera, although it doesn't know it:

$ gphoto2 --auto-detect
Modello Porta
----------------------------------------------------------
USB PTP Class Camera usb:
USB PTP Class Camera usb:001,015

but nautilus (?) doesn't automount it as it automounts other cameras

I think it's a gnome problem, guessing it depends on nautilus automount feature

affects: gphoto2 (Ubuntu) → nautilus (Ubuntu)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Oneiric Ocelot. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
