Bug Description

Binary package hint: python2.7

See build log:
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/58086094/buildlog_ubuntu-natty-powerpc.python2.7_2.7-9ubuntu1_FAILEDTOBUILD.txt.gz

gcc -pthread -fno-strict-aliasing -g -O2 -DNDEBUG -g -fwrapv -O3 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -fprofile-use -I. -IInclude -I../Include -DPy_BUILD_CORE -c ../Modules/_ssl.c -o Modules/_ssl.o
../Modules/_ssl.c: In function '_ssl_thread_locking_function':
../Modules/_ssl.c:1743:1: error: corrupted profile info: profile data is not flow-consistent
../Modules/_ssl.c:1743:1: error: corrupted profile info: number of executions for edge 2-8 thought to be -7
../Modules/_ssl.c:1743:1: error: corrupted profile info: number of executions for edge 2-3 thought to be 40754

../Modules/_ssl.c:1743:1: error: corrupted profile info: number of executions for edge 4-5 thought to be 40833

Unfortunately, this is blocking other python-dependent powerpc builds

That's fixed. The bigger problem that upload was meant to solve (and failed) was the that test_threading would hang on the buildds, but no where else.

Changed in python2.7 (Ubuntu):
assignee: nobody → Barry Warsaw (barry)

Sadly, while I was able to get Ubuntu 10.10 installed on my PowerMac G5, the machine does not stay up long enough to do anything useful with it. When booted in Ubuntu, it hard-crashes as soon as you try to do anything cpu intensive, e.g. apt-get upgrade kills the box. Machine seems generally fine when booted in OS X.

Meaning: I don't have hardware to test this on.
