Bug Description

Binary package hint: shotwell

I have all my media, including photos, on an external hard drive and hold a symbolic link to the external_drive/photos folder in my home directory. That is, one of the lines that "ls -l /home/user" gives is

lrwxrwxrwx 1 user user 19 2010-09-30 23:43 photos -> /media/external_drive/photos

When I try to import photos from /home/user/photos, shotwell doesn't import anything nor does it inform me that I tried to follow a symbolic link.
