Bug Description

Hi

The uslab menu has a hidden option to show recently used applications. This is by far, the best feature this menu brings,. and what makes it more useful than the current gnome menu applet.

I imagine it's disabled for this reason. Anyway, looking throught the ubuntuforums someone (salsafyren) posted the patch from suse:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=1225480&postcount=73

The only problem I see is that this patch is against gnome 2.12 (SLED gnome's).

Thanks for your bug report. I've also run into this issue and I think it would be nice to have it fixed.

hello!

why uslab? we are shipping the default slab on edgy!

The recently used apps menu is not present in the slab edgy version as it's not supported by libgnome-desktop and gnome-panel.

I guess those patch should added before in the upstream CVS.

Hi

I've read that slab could be included by default in the main feisty desktop https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SlabMenuForDesktop, so I think this patch could be applied so this functionality worked.

Any ideas? Has anyone tried it?

Can someone fordward it upstream?

I wholeheartedly agree. Without it, SLAB is useless to me.
