"Open With" section of properties dialogue starts re-adding applications

Bug Description

In the properties dialogue in 10.10, when removing more then one application from the "Open With" list, old ones will be added again. A quick screencast is attached.

What package is the properties dialouge part of? This issue is really annoying.

Are you sure you are running Ubuntu 10.10 ?

I've customized it a lot, but I tried installing a partition of vanilla 10.10 with the same issue.
