Oh, this is old stuff.
I have not been using lucid for years in, since it had some other issues as well (wlan connection problems etc, iirc...)

I also think that this problem hasn't occurred for a while, this pc has 11.10 now and will have 12.04 as soon as it is stable.

So, for me it is ok to close this issue.
