[totem-gstreamer] Totem hangs with external subtitle files

Totem hangs when trying to play avi file with an external subtitle file (example.avi and example.{txt|sub} in the same directory).
The last line of strace shows:
futex(0x846847c, FUTEX_WAIT, 1, NULL

I think it can be somehow connected with bug #30517.

Steps to reproduce:
1. take any example.avi file
2. create example.txt file containing:
00:00:01:TOTEM CRASH
3. play avi file

it would be possible, you are the only one to have opened a bug about
that though, which means it's not annoying many users and maybe not
requiring a backport then (we can't fix every minor bugs to stable)

And another problem is that this is not a single, non-intrusive patch but a bunch of patches... no idea if it is really backportable to the dapper version, someone has to try...

If I see it right a fix is in feisty, so I have to wait for a fix until feisty is released?

you can update to feisty before it's stable if you want, otherwise yes you have to wait

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. The version of Ubuntu referenced in this issue has reached end of life, and the issue is fixed in newer versions of Ubuntu. Therefore, I am closing the Dapper task.
