Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Running 64 bit Ubuntu 10.10, upgraded from 64 bit 10.4

Although my Firefox was already at 3.6.11, Ubuntu Update Manager identified a 3.6.11 update.

(Update Manager, even after complete removal and reinstall AND after an update, will NOT Install. I have to install manually in terminal.)

Spellcheck in both Firefox and Thunderbird is behaving the same way.

A few words are NOT flagged. "A", "bit", "complete", "are", "terminal" in the text above, for example.

I was thinking that might be the problem but didn't know where to look -
it's set to es-GT and I do NOT know how that was CHANGED.

But, how does that affect Thunderbird??

I am using 10.10 32 bit with FF 3.6.11 and FF highlight all words are wrong (not happening in TB). I followed this link: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using%20the%20spell%20checker and set my correct language. Thanks for this hint:

The 'bug' then consisted of an INSTALL -changing- the spellchecker language setting.

In my case, I had to change it BACK to en-US in both FF and Tbird.

So, there WAS no 'bug' in Firefox.
