Bug Description

Binary package hint: octave-combinatorics

The 'partint' function is not available after starting octave, resulting in a

error: `partint' undefined near line 5 column 1

The corresponding package is loaded, from pkg list:

Package Name | Version | Installation directory
-------------------+---------+-----------------------
...
    combinatorics | 1.0.9 | /usr/share/octave/packages/3.2/combinatorics-1.0.9
...

and the 'combs' function from the same package works (However, combs is octave source code, while partint is compiled C code).

Am I doing something wrong here or is this a bug?

Regards,
Stefan

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and trying to help make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the package is no longer provided by the official Ubuntu repositories in the latest versions of Ubuntu. It won't be fixed in previous versions of Ubuntu because the package doesn't fit the requirements for backporting. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBackports for more information.
