Binary package hint: linux

The linux-image package does not include the /lib/modules/linux-<version>/build subdirectory which is used for building external modules without installing the full kernel sources. See http://lkml.org/lkml/2004/5/6/165

Very sorry, my mistake - I had not seen the linux-headers-* packages and only installed linux-kernel-headers.
