Bug Description

Binary package hint: wine1.2

Some characters in pdf files are displayed incorrectly with evince when ttf-symbol-replacement is installed. I tried versions 1.1.42-0ubuntu4 from Lucid and 1.2-0ubuntu9 from Maveric on Lucid 64-bit installation and both were affected. Trivial workaround is to uninstall the package.

The attached file, which should demonstrate the problem, was created by copying a problematic part of document in OpenOffice.org and exported to pdf. All characters were displayed correctly in OOo. When viewed with evince from Lucid repositories, ≤ and √ characters were mismatched.

The file should look like this:

|A| ≤ 2⁄3 n
|B| ≤ 2⁄3 n
|S| ≤ 4√n
