Empathy doesn't sign in on msn

Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

I am using Ubuntu 10.10 running with the latest updates

The problem is that when I want to sign in to msn. Empathy keeps displaying the loader icon next to the status dropdown menu.

Very annoying

With pidgin i CAN login, so it is not that I forgot my password ;-)

I just solved this problem:

I went to ACCOUNT SETTINGS > my msn address > advanced

and i changed messenger.hotmail.com -> messenger.live.com

It was just a lucky guess but it worked!

The problem came back, after 2 hours of succesful using msn on empathy i rebooted my laptop and suddenly i couldn't login anymore.

Even not when i change messenger.live.com back to messenger.hotmail.com & vice versa

Strange...
