Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Crash happened shortly after closing a spreadsheet using the [X] button on the top bar.

I had a similar problem with this on 32-bit that went away after changing to the 'proposed' updates, but this is happening now on my 64-bit 10.04 system before and after the proposed updates were installed.

The advice blow generates this warning:

"$ubuntu-bug -p openoffice.org
Warning: The options -p/-P are deprecated, please do not use them. See /usr/bin/ubuntu-bug --help"

Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate an useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:

dpkg: installed version 1.15.5.6ubuntu4.4, latest version: 1.15.5.6ubuntu4.3
uno-libs3: installed version 1.6.1+OOo3.2.1-6ubuntu2~10.04.1, latest version: 1.6.0+OOo3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1
ttf-opensymbol: installed version 1:3.2.1-6ubuntu2~10.04.1, latest version: 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1
libcomerr2: installed version 1.41.11-1ubuntu2.1, latest version: 1.41.11-1ubuntu2
openoffice.org-common: installed version 1:3.2.1-6ubuntu2~10.04.1, latest version: 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1
openoffice.org-core: installed version 1:3.2.1-6ubuntu2~10.04.1, latest version: 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1
ure: installed version 1.6.1+OOo3.2.1-6ubuntu2~10.04.1, latest version: 1.6.0+OOo3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1

Please upgrade your system to the latest package versions. If you still
encounter the crash, please file a new report.

Thank you for your understanding, and sorry for the inconvenience!

Sorry, but as far as I can tell 4 > 3 so it is not older!

openoffice.org-common: installed version 1:3.2.1-6ubuntu2~10.04.1, latest version: 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1
openoffice.org-core: installed version 1:3.2.1-6ubuntu2~10.04.1, latest version: 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1

Same here, with 3.2.1 > 3.2.0

This has been reported already under Bug #653466 and nothing was done because the 'proposed' updates appeared to fix it, but clearly not for 64-bit or for some other complex reasons.

Please just fix the package? Doing nothing due to minor version dependencies that are DUE TO UBUNTU's PACKAGE MANAGER is not a constructive approach.
