Setup is slowly as hell and nothing found. Settings for czech republic and I dont know option.
Would be fine to see any progress, which freq and other parameters are tuned and testing.

I had this issue yesterday with my Technotrend Budget DVB-S card (ST STV0299 DVB-S) after discovering the gnome-dvb package. I recall encountered a similar it before when using other dbv tools (dvbstream). The trick is to run a quick scan to wake the card up (I would assume), then gnome-dvb-setup will work.

Maybe this bug is fixed in latest gnome-dvb-daemon release:

Version 0.2.1 - 2011-05-23
=============
 DVB-T brute-force scan works correctly, again.
- Fixed binding gettext domain
- gnomedvb: Set window position of preferences window
- gnomedvb: Launch gnome-dvb-setup when pressing on preferences button
- Manager: disconnect from destroyed signal before destroying Scanners in shutdown
- Adjusted DVB-T brute-force scan to new signature of AddScanningData method

Latest release can be downloaded from http://download.gnome.org/sources/gnome-dvb-daemon/0.2/

Please update Ubuntu packages to gnome-dvb-daemon 0.2.1.
