scroll lock doesnt work

this is my first bug report. I'm using mint 10 and i am really tired of scroll lock not working by default please fix this in the final release. it should be really simple to fix but its been in ubuntu for a long while now. scroll lock is totally useless to most people but a few like my self use it for retarded keyboards with lighted keys or kvms
