Bug Description

At least for the fr0st scripts default.py and sheep_live_preview.py (nice idea by the way), I cannot stop script execution once started. The script seems to execute fine, but neither F9 nor the toolbar nor the menu allow me to stop the script again. There is no output on the console.

fr0st version: release 1.2
flam3 version: svn revision 34
python version: 2.6.5
OS: Ubuntu 10.04
$ uname -srvo
Linux 2.6.32-25-generic #44-Ubuntu SMP Fri Sep 17 20:05:27 UTC 2010 GNU/Linux

Please tell me if you need any further information or would like me to try something particular to track down the issue.

-Could you confirm that you actually see the button change from run to stop when you press run/F8? In fr0st 1.2, the buttons for run/stop were merged into 1, so that may be causing trouble.

-Does this only happen with scripts that contain infinite loops, like default.py? Can you try some of the scripts that are put into favorites by default, such as reframe and xform_heat_map?

-Does the app stay responsive while the script is running (e.g. tooltips popping up, being able to change tabs)?

-Finally, what's your wxpython version?
    python -c "import wx; print wx.version()"

A fix to this has been committed to trunk, will be included in the next release. It turned out to be a problem with a slight API change in the newest python version, I was able to reproduce the bug once I ran fr0st on Ubuntu 10.10.
