Set 'Affect: Scale stroke' and 'Affect: scale radii of rounded corners' if you want the rectangle and circle to stay more congruent when transforming them as a group, or convert them to paths after you matched the rectangle to approximately fill the stroked ellipse and before applying transforms to the group.
