Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

Maximizing a window in unity appears to maximize it to the height of the entire logical display, even when that height is greater than the height of the current monitor (as can happen when the current monitor is the smaller of two monitors). This means that the top of the window gets hidden under the top panel, or part of the window is off the screen entirely.

Given Mark's comment on the importance of multiple monitor support, shouldn't this be more highly prioritized? https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/661450

This is planned for natty and should behave better with compiz as a windowmanager.

Hi, could you please test if this still happens in natty alpha 1 (when it's out :), I cannot reproduce it with latest Unity and compiz

This bug was reported against and old version of Unity. The new version of Unity is almost an entire rewrite based on very different technologies. Could you please check if this issue is present in the current version, and if it is reopen the bug to a NEW status.
