Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Just upgraded to Maverick, and now very often when I resume from suspend, the nm-applet icon is missing from the notification area. The space for it is still there, but there is no icon and I cannot interact with it. nm-applet is still running. If I remove notification-area and add it back again, the icon is restored. When this happens, it looks like there is a 1-px line just to the right of the notification area grabber. Not sure if that is related to this problem or not. Please let me know what additional information I can provide.

gnome-panel 1:2.30.2-1ubuntu3
network-manager-gnome 0.8.1+git.20100809t190028.290dc70-0ubuntu3

affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) → network-manager-applet (Ubuntu)

Most times I resume from a suspend on eee1000 I find the nm applet has disappeared. Was working fine with Lucid but now getting the odd refusal from a resume and 75% of the time it loses the applet.

I'm also experiencing this problem on Oneiric, though no space is kept for the icon.
