Bug Description

Binary package hint: brasero

Using Ubuntu 10.10 (maverick) in Brasero, I created a 21GB ISO file using brasero. I am using ecryptfs to encrypt my home directory, but I have seen example #3 in Lucid without an encrypted home directory. Depending on the application which interprets the file, you get a different file size. This bug is to report that image size is inaccurate in brasero after burn, the fact that other applications have a hard time staying consistent should be a concern to the GNOME project.

[1] Nautilus - Selection of files, seen in a properties windows is reported as 20.9 GB
[2] Brasero - Before writing iso, size is reported as 20.9GB
[3] Brasero - After writing iso, size is reported as 958.8MB
[4] Nautilus - ISO file created by Brasero, size is reported as 2.0MB
[5] Archive Manager - ISO File created by Brasero, size is reported as 27.1GB many items appear in triplicate.

Here is another example where a 13GB ISO is seen as 1GB by brasero after being written.

Closing due to lack of activity and because it concerns an obsolete release of Ubuntu.
