if you right-click on a folder, pc-man doesn't show how many files in the folder are.

Please describe the behavior you are expecting. I know that in nautilus, If I left click a folder, the information bar at the bottom will tell me how many files it contains. Would you like to the this information in the information pane at the bottom of the window, or in the contextual menu, when right clicking.
