Bug Description

Since using Maverick (10.10) Netbook Edition, when I put the lid down on my netbook, it nearly always will NOT come out of standby.

There are other users reporting this same bug: http://www.voria.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=554

Never had this problem with the previous version of Ubuntu Netbook Edition.

I have the same problem with a Samsung N150 Netbook.

When trying to come back from suspend, the screen just stays dark. I am unable to get to any kind of terminel, either by hitting ctrl-alt-del or any combination. The only solution is a hard reboot.

After the latest kernel update (released this week), my laptop (a Dell Inspiron 6400) has also started to exhibit problem with coming out of standby.

This problem is not easily reproducible (sometimes, it's working, sometimes it's not) but quite annoying...

This problem never occured with 10.04.

Same problem with a Samsung NB30.
Samsung N110 works fine though, thus 'samsung-n1xx' tag is wrong.
(Both computers run Ubuntu 10.10)
