path problems with more than 250 characters

Bug Description
If entering a path that, has more than 250 characters, including directories, an exception is thrown. (see attached picture)

When trying the same thing instead with a catacomb on an apache-moddav webdav server, the problem does not exist. Therefore the problems seems to lie with catacomb.
