Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor

F5 triggers a pop-up with the level of brightness. Normally the level should decrease when F5 is pressed several times, but this does not work. F6 is not working properly neither. This is not critical, exept to convince new users of UBUNTU.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Sounds like an ACPI support bug found in different EeePC models. They seem to send an incorrect signal on different action. In this similar Bug #268422, plugging in the power cable starts evolution.

Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 660278
When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.
