horizontal scroll bar does not work well when scanning multiple pages

Maverick 32bit, all updates installed.
When scanning multiple pages, after number three of four the horizontal scroll bar appears. This only works when you grab the slide itself, nothing happens when you click next to it (either side) for a 'next screen' or on the small scroll arrows at the end of the bar. This makes fast scrolling less easy and is not consistent with normal scroll bar behaviour.

I can confirm this on Natty amd64. Also, two-finger scrolling using a laptop track-pad is not working inside the application for horizontal scrolling.

i cannot confirm this issue with the new unity-style-scrollbars. is this still an issue for anyone?

Yes it is, nothing changed.
By now I'm running 12.04 amd64 and the scroll bar still doesn't react as it should. The only way to work it is by grabbing the slider and move that.

Have to say that Unity never really worked well for me, probably to do with a pretty iffy AMD gpu in my laptop. And since moving to Precise it got a lot worse. You can see that support for 2D desktop is lacking. I'm getting more and more graphical crashes and even application hangs. LibreOffice is getting hit worst by this bitrot.
