Bug Description

At boot with Ubuntu CD,
sda is assigned to USB key
sdb is assigned to hard disk
Ubiquity install MBR in first sd device, i.e. sda.
So user can only boot when USB key is inserted.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My PC boots directly to windows 7 and does not load the boot menu and i can't get into Ubuntu though I'm 100% sure i have installed it.I've installed it from my USB drive to the hard disk.

Here's the tricky part.

The boot menu only appears when i have my stick inside the PC though I've installed Ubuntu on my hard disk
AND I tried reinstalling ubunto by manually choosing partition rather than installing side by side----Same error
This happened while using V10.04

Thankfully installing the new V10.10 fixed the bug

Please attach /var/log/installer/syslog and /var/log/installer/partman to this bug.

Could you please clarify a point in your bug description? Do I understand correctly that you experience this bug when installing 10.04, but not when installing 10.10? That would match up with my belief that we fixed this bug late in the 10.10 cycle.
