Hi! Thank you for your bug report.

The separator itself is white. What you want? It was transparent too?

I hope if it is transparent, we don't need a separator.
What do you think about it?

I guess you want a notification area with no separator, right?

Well if I set it to 100% opaqe the separator changes its color.

I did not understand. What do you mean?

In my computer, panel with 0 or 100% opaque, separator has the white color.

Well, we can see that gnome-panel tries to identify the notification area, by changing colors so that our eyes can see the dots.

I repeat my question: I guess you want a notification area with no separator, right?

It would be nice to have true transparency in gnome panel when we enable compiz for example. and not to have those white separators. or even when we have the bar not to expand, we get 2 white borders in each side, wich is ugly
