I've upgraded to ubuntu 10.10 yesterday, and since then the empathy cliente stoped working.

Pidgin works great (but i don't like it and i want empathy)

can you please delete all accounts in empathy, reboot and then try to add the account again. if that does not solve the problem please attach telepathy gabble logs from Help>Debug in that window select gabble, click save and attach the logs file to this bug report. please make sure your system is upto date.
