Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

The indicator applet icon for gnome-power-manager shows my iPhone twice as "Cell phone" when I click on it. It also seems to be inaccurate, going in 10% increments, though I don't have a point of reference to tell if this is normal behaviour.

The iPhone is an iPhone 3G. It is jailbroken, but I don't think that has to do with power management.

I noticed that if I kill gnome-power-manager and start it again while the phone is plugged in, it reports it once, as it should.

Also occurs for non-jailbroken iPhone 3G (iOS 4.1, if it matters).

I have the same issue and also the laptop battery status is also duplicated:

Laptop battery is charged
Laptop battery is charged
Cell phone (100.0%)
Cell phone (100.0%)

Restarting gnome-power-manager removes both duplicates.

Still present in gpm 2.32.0-2ubuntu2 (i.e. Natty).
