Bug Description

While Hibernate and suspend work on my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1525n with Ubuntu preinstalled -- came with gusty gibbon and now runs lucid lynx), hibernate is incredibly -- painfully -- slow. While strides have been made in speeding up the boot times, the resume from hibernate still lags.

Could this process be speeded up?

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue , in the default Ubuntu 10.04 install , that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of the project.

Papercuts should be trivially fixable, while this bug is not.
For further info about papercuts criteria, please read https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut.

Don't worry though, This bug has been marked as "invalid" ONLY in the papercuts project.

Hopefully this will be the correct information (I issued the command after recovering from hibernate and connecting to the net... hopefully that wont have thrown anything out of whack!)
