Bug Description

Tried various settings and options in all available configuration windows.

Also have installed maverick alsa backports package.

Interesting is that I have fully functional sound output from my Logitech EasyCall USB Spekarphone using PulseAudio.

As mentioned in alsa-project homepage, attaching necessary files.

As stated in this recommendations, .asoundrc and /etc/asound.conf files needs to be included, but I cannot find them.

Maybe it is problem and solution would be manual alsa compilation?

(when set to Sound Blaster)

Note that there are currently issues with surround sound using PulseAudio; you'll need an SRU candidate to verify the fix. In the meantime, can you confirm that simple analog 2-channel stereo works? Please choose stereo instead of surround.

Sure, it was not meant as offend to you as person :)

Just, as you know, I have these sound issues starting from Karmic ... FROM KARMIC !!! , man ... it just starts to make me mad .. :(

Sound simply does not work w/o any issues out of box form my PC....

Here is output from your suggestion:

linards@Linards-OEM:~$ sudo alsactl init 0
[sudo] password for linards:
Home directory /home/linards not ours.
Found hardware: "HDA-Intel" "ATI R6xx HDMI" "HDA:1002aa01,00aa0100,00100100" "0x1043" "0xaa38"
Hardware is initialized using a generic method

My guess - there is issue between some data information transportation as it is obvious ubuntu detects my SB card and even tries to use it, but sound data do not gets to PCI card and therefore no output is made ... just basic look from Win32 dev lol ...
