Bug Description
1. It should be well known that the create-usb boot disk method does not work for 10.10 without first removing the ui from a line in syslinux.cfg
(I found that in a forum post)
2. After I did that, it still did not work, there were errors about init not working.
I then figured out that it was likely due to the fact that I have an SD card, and a USB drive on my computer.
I then shutdown the computer and removed the SD card, and UNR came right up.
I have a dell mini 9, was using an 8gb sd card to backup my 4gb harddrive and hold the ISO image, and use the 2gb usb drive to install.
(also note, there were all kinds of errors about the installer running out of diskspace, but it worked)

Thanks for reporting this bug and help to make ubuntu better.
Please be more specific on your issues. First, you should prefer "ubuntu-bug <component>" to file bugs.
I only know that you try to create your usb disk from 9.10 from another bug report. I would have known if you used ubuntu-bug in this report…
On your issue, I know this have been fixed in an update on 10.04, not sue about the status of 9.10. Targetting to the right project.
