Bug Description

On upgrade to 10.10, I completely lost sound. This happened with 10.04 as well, but at that time there were newer ALSA drivers that mostly fixed the problem. This time, the drivers seem to already be the newest, but still no sound. I've used Synaptic to try to reinstall all my sound components, but they all seem up to date.

Help?

I have also verified that this bug exists when using a "clean" copy on a USB stick. No sound.
