Bug Description

I have a freshly installed 10.10 Ubuntu Maverick Meerkat Desktop edition (the non-beta public release) on my flash drive using the ubuntu website''s recommended method. Upon my first boot, I clicked a button which said I could update my Nvidia driver so I chose the recommended one in the options menu and it started downloading. Near the end of the download, it froze and this "send error" menu appeared. This same error has occured on 2 fresh installs. I reported it this time.

I expected linux to install the latest recommended Nvidia driver for my Nvidia 8400m GS.

Instead, it froze right before the 'downloading' window bar was full and then an alert appeared which said that the driver package failed to install or upgrade.
