"Hide Ribbon" option doesn't do anything

Bug Description
When selecting "Hide Ribbon", nothing happens. The pink ribbon continues to be displayed in folders in Nautilus.
System: Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit

It does take that into account as soon as you visit another folder. That is, it doesn't disappear, because of the things Nautilus plugins are allowed to do. So this would need some change/addition to Nautilus plugin API
