Bug Description
The new "thread operations" apply to all operations, in particular for reply. It comes as a bit of surprise, and may not be safe because one might accidentally reply to the root of a collapsed thread and the reply will go to all the participants of the thread. But it may not be appropriate for all the participants of the thread to receive the reply. If there is confidential information in the reply, it would be unsafe.
We should find a way to override the default "thread operation" setting for sensitive operations.
