Empathy messenger avatar problems

Binary package hint: empathy

My Empathy didn't want to use the selected avatar. When I select my picture and close the dialog, nothings change. And when I run the Personal Info dialog again, in the space I can se a "phantom face"...

yes, it happens when using MSN protocol, but the people "in the other side" see the picture, it's only we that can't see it.
