Mixxx 1.8.0 final / MacOSX 10.6
If you load a track e.g 10 times in a player , you`ll get 10 listings in the library

Reproduced on Linux x64. All the duplicate entries have the same location string in the library table. There is only one entry for the file in the track_locations SQLite table, while the library table has duplicate entries referring to the same track_locations record.
