emails sent using email_template do not appear in partner history

When an email is sent, it should appear in partner history and does not.

Hello Jim,

I have installed the email_template, configured it and sent mail but partner doesn't come into picture.

"History" of "Advance" tab will store history of sent mails.

You are right, that's a missing feature of email_template module.

But, in our opinion, email_template will have to be rewritten for v6.1 because several things are not clean in this module. So, I mark this bug as won't fix for v6.0

 Will the rewrite on email_template follow some of the refactoring/recommendations made by Sharoon recently, or are you intending to go a different path?

IMHO.

Is very important consult the path for the refactoring maden on poweremail.
rvalyi and sharoon made this work already, do OpenERP give importance to
this changes?, Do you comunicate with them to planify the refactoring?, I
think is re-work if OpenERP doesn't do that.
