Bug Description
I usually hide lots of useless menu items using alacarte.
For example Java policy tool, accessability stuff, Palm OS devices, and many other of the settings menu items that's not relevant to me.
Hiding unused menu items helps avoid scrolling and works great in une.
In unity, these items appears anyway.

this effects the applications place only, Unity is just rendering what it's asked to render.
