Bug Description
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
It seems that openoffice java integration or, at least, the XSLT processing using java integration is broken. This seems due to the way ubuntu packages openoffice and has been confirmed on 2 different installations of same ubuntu distribution.
Steps to reproduce.
in writer: go to Tools -> options -> java: ensure that "use java environment" is checked and that a JVM si selected. (It fails with both openjdk or a stock oracle java distribution)
Then create a document, type in some random text or leave it empty. Go to file -> save as -> choose "docbook xml" file format. This format uses java xslt processor to do the export. When you save you get a progress bar that goes to about 30% then a dialog that says
"error during the save of document xxxxxx: write error. Impossible to write to file" (translated from french)
Now install a stock openoffice distribution, using the .deb available in openoffice official site. It will install openoffice without integrated JVM in /opt without java. Once again, start it, ensure that debian jvm is correctly activated in tools->
I have same problem with openoffce extensions that need java (work with stock openoffice, fail with ubuntu openoffice).
