Bug Description
GCC now has an option, "-fsched-pressure", that improves the GCC scheduler to make it sensitive to increasing register pressure before RA.
The optimization has the potential to improve performance, possibly a lot, but right now actually reduces performance on ARM.
We should look into doing the benchmarking and tuning work. This will probably not be a trivial project.

Is there any other information on what platform and what benchmarks this showed a regression in performance ?
