log in screen is split with right screen magnified

Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs

when i do a restart or shutdown the log in screen appears on the left, only the left half. the right half is black and magnified. the arrow from the mouse is normal on the left but also appears on right side. but the one on the right is enlarged.

Sounds like an issue with gdm and/or X.

Regarding the apport-collect command I stated above, it should be as follows:

apport-collect 655426
