anki with enabled sync crashes on startup in ubuntu maverick

Binary package hint: anki
hi,
after upgrad from lucid to maverick Anki crashes on startup. it shows it's main window and immediately popups a dialogue box with the following:

Synchronisation is enabled.
Anki works well under another account on the same computer, synchronisation is not enabled there.

You can download the latest version (1.0.1-1) from the Anki website:
http:// anki.googlecode .com/files/ anki_1. 0.1-1_all. deb
Once installed, you should find that Anki starts with no issues again - it would however seem that 0.9.9.8.6-2 is indeed broken as I had this problem on both my installations running Maverick.
