Bug Description

I've had Ubuntu 10.04 installed on this system for a few months. In this time, I have experienced completely random freezes on almost a daily basis. They are completely unpredictable. I have experienced crashes while browsing, playing music, working on office stuff and while I am not at the computer. I've reinstalled once and updated the kernel multiple times. I have Ubuntu installed on a laptop as well, it does not have this issue.

I'm not a very experienced user, but I'll gladly perform any troubleshooting with instruction.

Hi Bram,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.
