Can't read any man page

Bug Description

Binary package hint: man-db

I just can't read any man page on maverick. Trying to type man gives me this error message:

$ man nano
TERM environment variable needs set.
man: o comando encerrou com estado 1: pager -s

$ echo $TERM
dumb

It seems this problem only happens in guake.

affects:

man-db (Ubuntu) → guake (Ubuntu)

I don't know why but the problem seems to be the $TERM variable set for guake. Once I exported xterm in it, the problem was solved. I just need to find out how to set this as permanent.

I expect that it also depends which pager you're using. less complains about TERM=dumb but proceeds in a degraded mode anyway.
