Bug Description
Release; Maverick RC 10.10
The speakers on laptop model HP Pavilion dv6-2005tx Entertainment Notebook PC do not mute when headphones are plugged in as they should. (jack sense)
This was present in lucid and karmic, but a workaround was to add the following 2 lines to the end of /etc/modprobe.
options snd-hda-intel model=dell-m4 enable_msi=1
options snd_hda_Intel's model=hp-dv5
this no longer works in maverick

appending the following to /etc/modprobe.
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
alias sound-slot-0 snd-hda-intel
options snd-hda-intel model=dell-m4-1 enable_msi=1
