Bug Description
Binary package hint: shotwell
I'm trying to publish pictures with special characters in their names (like umlauts, "ß") but they keep being ignored by shotwell. Shotwell doesn't even give feedback on not being able to publish such a picture. Even worse, shotwell recognises those pictures as being published successfully. When replacing these characters publishing works like a charm.
The service that I use is Flickr.

There's probably something different we can do in terms of encoding the multi-part/formdata REST transactions for Flickr that will correct this. We are investigating. I have ticketed this upstream at: http:// trac.yorba. org/ticket/ 2629. Note that this bug does not affect publishing in general and only affects Flickr. Perhaps we should change the bug title to reflect this?
