x.org not including the shared memory config for ksynaptics

Bug Description

When I try to configure the ksynaptics program (the one sitting in the system tray), it complains that "Shared Memory is not accessible", and wants me to edit xorg.conf, adding "UseShm true".

I can do that, but I think that for normal users, that should be done automatically as part of ksynaptics configuration.

Is this still an issue? I can't confirm this one or reproduce it for that matter. Thanks!

Changed in ksynaptics:
status: Unconfirmed → Needs Info

I can confirm this one. Even with the xorg.conf option written in, the kcontrol panel also complains that shared memory is not accesible for the touchpad.
